Channel error ref 3204 also breaking up channels.

For about a week now, my HD channels were breaking up (areas of blocky pixelisation and sound cut outs). It began on the second non-tivo set-top-box.

It has progressed now to "Channel isn't available right now" (ref 3204) messages on those HD channels and pixelisation & breakup on the SD channels on that set-top-box.

It is also NOW doing the same to the picture on the main TiVo set-top-box as well.

I can only assume there is a problem with the signal reaching the house which is deteriorating over time.

I have unplugged both set-top-boxes for several minutes, checked all connections and restarted. The issue remains.

Starting to become infuriated by the service.

Re: Channel error ref 3204 & also breaking up channels.

What did the Faults team say when you talked to them?

You'll get an immediate response if you give them a ring on 150 from a VM phone (from 08:00 until midnight, every day), or use the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page to initiate a live chat (from 08:00 until 20:00, Monday to Saturday)

This is primarily a user community forum and while the VM forum team do endeavour to read and, where appropriate, respond to every thread, it can take them a few days to wade through the volume of posts. So for an technical issue, which this seems to be, your best line of inquiry is through the Faults team via the methods above.

Re: Channel error ref 3204 & also breaking up channels.

And now all channels are just unwatchable. Most are ref 3204.. those that aren't are so broken up & blocky/pixelated with sound intermittent that, for all intents & purposes, they may as well be scrambled.

The service status page lists 2 faults that have nothing to do with it. Running a test says theyll fix it & I restart equipment 10mins later... Still the same! Not at all happy.

Re: Channel error ref 3204 & also breaking up channels.

Same here since early this evening. PO12 (Solent Region) all channels unwatchable. Only 2 faults listed and neither of them relate to this.

Come on guys this is ridiculous, a fault is one thing but to not even acknowledge it is not on.

Support.????????

Re: Channel error ref 3204 & also breaking up channels.

First time I called, the operator read out the faults on the Service Status page (which had nothing to do with the issue). He then told me it would be fixed by midday the following day.

It wasn't.

I called back today at around 3pm and the woman operator told me it was down on the system as fixed. It wasn't. She then said, in effect, "it was fixed them failed again" and told me it would be re-fixed by midday tomorrow.

45minutes later it all started working properly.

Hopefully it won't 'fail' again, as currently the picture quality is in my opinion better than it has been previously.
