You can also downgrade to "Player TV" which has a very similar channel line-up to Freeview. This will mean re-contracting for another 12 months. Ring up 150 and use the option for "thinking of leaving us" as this is the UK based customer service team who are best placed to help.

I am also thinking of cancelling my TV package. I currently have TV Player, which is free, I believe, and a Tivo box which costs me £5 per month. I know that if I cancel, I will have to reconnect my aerial and will get Freeview TV.
I also have 100Mbps broadband, landline and calls.
My question is how much will my monthly cost be reduced by if I cancel the TV? And will I have to pay a charge for cancelling it early (my current contract expires in June 2018). I have written to Virgin with these questions and had a useless reply, giving no answers at all, just referring me to the telephone number. I specifically asked for a letter in reply because of my deficient hearing, but they took no notice. And the Chat Line is always busy.

You are no doubt currently contracted to all 3 services, so if you drop one the price of the other 2 could increase significantly. As long as you remain a Virgin customer you should not pay disconnection fees, but you will lose any loyalty discounts currently applied to your package.
The best people to talk to are Retentions. They are UK based & have the best deals on offer, as they are potentially dealing with people looking at leaving for another provider. Give them a call on 150 option 1 then 4 then 5. Calls to billing or sales will most likely go to offshore call centres so I should avoid them.
