Box freezing

While watching "Vera" last nigght on channel 113, my box froze at a crucial part of the programme. Thank goodness I was able to switch to Freeview quickly. Had to re-boot the Virgin box. Not happy!

That doesn't mean much - they stopped making them a good few years ago, they're all refurbished. Some good, some bad.

 

Get on to Retentions and negotiate an upgrade to TiVo.

I'm going to the store today to see about the Quickstart Tivo box. I'm going to get it to replace the Samsung box. Is it just a question of taking the leads and cable out of the Samsung box and transferring them to the Tivo box, as the online instructions seem to involve a lot more. And do I use the same smartcard?

I'm not sure about the smart card, but quite likely it will be the same.

 

If it sits there claiming it's preparing your installation for longer than around an hour, just ring it in and get a tech out to sort it Smiley Happy
