Best Options - Sport Channels Sky Sports & BT Sports

Since Virgin are not offering the Season Ticket what are my best option to keep price down

Ideally I want Sky Sports & BT Sports

I could live without the rest, My other packages Broadband & Phone are with Virgin also

Ideally I'd like it below £80 a month if possible

Re: Best Options - Sport Channels Sky Sports & BT Sports

Since BT Sports Europe was added the cost of the Standalone add on on VM is now £18, not £15.

"...Existing customers:

If you’re a TV XL customer, you've already got BT Sport. Just tune in on channels 527 – 532 and 548 – 549.

For all our other Virgin TV customers, you can add BT Sport to your package for just £18 a month...."

Re: Best Options - Sport Channels Sky Sports & BT Sports

My Sky Sports went up from £29.25 to £36.75 per month back in May 2015.

Isn't this the same for everybody  ?

I added Sky Sports onto M TV yesterday and was told it was £29.25

I also added BT Sport for £15/month, but was told it would increase to £18/month on 1st September.

Re: Best Options - Sport Channels Sky Sports & BT Sports

I spoke to the Contact Centre just 6 hours ago about whether there were any possible BT sports offers, & at the same time, also queried the 25% rise in the cost of my Sky Sports in May 2015, but was told that was the price.  I'll give them a call back I think to discuss it further

Doesnt sound right. I take Sky Sports & Movies, & it only totals £38.75 (Went up from £36.25).

The price can differ depending on the base package.  It used to always cost a bit more with M TV and you had to have a TV package over M TV to avail of the sky sports season ticket last time around.  I normally upgrade to More TV for the football season but haven't had to this time around.

Re: Best Options - Sport Channels Sky Sports & BT Sports

Just to say, as it's not clear from what you are all saying, that the price is different if you get HD for sky sports or not.

Me personally, I found the non HD package on Sky to be decent value, although not as good as the 10 month season ticket I got last year.
