Amazon fire stick kodi won't stream

Hi,

I have just got a fire stick with kodi, mobdro etc. I have the superhub 3 and have connected it to the 5ghz channel. Everything works fine except for streaming TV channels (I.e.sky sports). It plays for like 10 seconds and then buffers constantly and freezes. It is in the same room as the hub too, so the signal isn't a problem. It is also plugged in with the lead that comes with it. Can anyone please help? I assume it's a setting I need to change on the hub??

Re: Amazon fire stick kodi won't stream

How are you streaming Sky Sports? Assuming its not from TV anywhere as that doesnt allow streaming, its not from TiVo so where is the stream from?

Re: Amazon fire stick kodi won't stream

If your Amazon Fire Stick has been updated to version 5.0.5.1, then Kodi will no longer work as Amazon are blocking the side-loading of such apps as Kodi / Firestarter, etc.

Re: Amazon fire stick kodi won't stream

KODI still works on 5.0.5.1, its Firestarter that's blocked.

That's because the update brings side loading to the main OS. It actually fixes some issues with Jarvis 16.2 RC1
