Re: slow tivo

By slow changing channels, do you mean when press ch up or down it takes a while for the channel indicator at the bottom of the screen to change, or do you mean it takes a while for the next channel to show its picture ?

What is meant by "pairing V6 box with remote control"?  I don't recall the engineer doing anything with mine and both my previous Tivo remote control and my Harmony remote operate the V6.

Nice to be able to post again, after their mistake (removed by the Censorship team).

Re: slow tivo

Your Virgin TV V6 remote should automatically be paired with the box when set up, but if not, there two ways to do it.

Using your Virgin TV V6 remote:

1. Go to Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Remote Control Pairing.

2. Press and hold the Info button for 7 seconds until the light at the top of the remote goes solid green then flashes green twice.

Or, by using the Virgin TV V6 box and remote:

1. Press the Channel Down button on the front of the Virgin TV V6 box for 10 seconds.

2. Then, hold the Info button down on the remote for 7 seconds. The light on the top of the remote will flash green twice.

Re: slow tivo

PS Pairing enables the RF functionality of the remote, allowing it to be used literally from anywhere in the house and enabling the 'find my remote' facility.

Re: slow tivo

Thanks Ernie. So to check, take the remote to another room and see if it works?

Yes. I literally tested it worked from every corner of the house.
