Volume Fault ?

We had the new V6 box fitted a few days ago, great system and incredibly fast. However there appears to be a problem with the volume control on the box. Firstly the unit is at a much lower volume level than the old TiVo box (by about 50%). Secondly the volume on certain channels and nearly all recordings drifts in and out constantly and is driving us barmy. Details of how it's set up are as follows.

TiVo sound output is set to PCM
TV output is set to auto (set it to PCM and the fault is still there)
TV : LG 55UH950V Smart TV
Sound Bar : LG SH8
Connection : QED Optical Cable

We have tried it through another TV just to make sure there wasn't a fault with the set up above, but the same thing was happening. We have Freeview Play on our TV and the volume is consistent with no drifting. We also have no volume problems when using the Amazon TV and Now TV apps on the TV itself, nor the Amazon Fire TV. Box. We also have a 2TB HDD connected to record programmes via Freeview Play and there is no problem with the volume when using that either.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Re: Volume Fault ?

I have already posted about this. Unless you have a volume equaliser n your TV settings, I don't think there is anything else you can do. Drives me barmy too!
