Virgin V6 Box Player TV

I have a five year old TiVo box and currently have TV M with sky sports and movies. I haven't seen anything about getting the new box. Is it only for XL TV. I'd like one because of the slow menu on tivo.

Re: Virgin V6 Box Player TV

Just to add to I believe you also need a minimum VM broadband 100 account. The TV V6 upgrade fee is reduced if you have a 200 speed VM broadband account and the Full House (formerly XL) TV tier..

Re: Virgin V6 Box Player TV

It looks like I'm going to be stuck in the dark ages unless I go on the top speeds and TV packs.

Re: Virgin V6 Box Player TV

Have you got the upgraded RC24 firmware on your TiVo? If so you should see a much improved performance.

Re: Virgin V6 Box Player TV

Yes and I've deleted suggestions to speed it up but the I Player takes an age. The good part is using favorites instead of scrolling through everything.

Re: Virgin V6 Box Player TV

There are reports that the V6 is substantially quicker than the TiVo. Maybe, but what is one to do with the extra few seconds? I just launched the iPlayer app on my TiVo in 30 seconds.

That's debatable.

Nice to be able to post again, after their mistake (removed by the Censorship team).
