V6 to AVR

hello,

I have just had the Tivo V6 installed. However it is not connecting through my Denon AVR x2200w, the display says that my TV is not HDCP 2.2 compliant. Howver if I connect the V6 directly to the TV it does work. The AVR is HDCP 2.2 compliant and I need to pass the TV signal though it. Whilst there are HDCP 2.2 to 1.4 converters I do not want to purchase one is there is no guarantee it will work and could be a waste of money. Any ideas?

Re: V6 to AVR

Hi yeltrah,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's really great having a new face in the Community getting involved Smiley Happy

Checking the known issues we have for the V6 box, it looks as though this AVR causes no sound. The only work around we have currently is to suggest you connect the V6 directly to the TV which you have already advised, works.

The Superusers may have some further work arounds that they can help you with. @Ernie_C @BenMcr @dannylau @Shelke @apcyberax

Thanks,

Re: V6 to AVR

Hello,

Good News!

Thanks for your Reply.

Big mistake on my part. I was under the impression my tv was hdcp 2.2 compatible - not so!

Purchased a Triax hdcp 2.2 to 1.4 converter and all is now well.

Very pleased with the V6 box.

Sorry I complained before properly investigating the situation (so not like me).

Regards

Re: V6 to AVR

the converter would be connected directly to the V6
