V6 install complete but no Netflix (v312 error message)

Hi my install was done within the hour and all seemed fine - speed problems completely gone now and managed to find out how to restore my season links (yeah!!!) but....

Somehow cannot get Netflix to load. There seeme to be 2 instances listed under the apps menu, one with an icon and one without but neither of them load

I get an error message saying 'netflix being downloaded to your box please try later v312'

Can someone please guide me?

Out of curiosity is I.Player still rubbish on the V6, or does it cure this endless problem?

iPlayer is light years ahead of old version and even has a demo of 4k nature programme too

the engineer explained that slow apps on old box were down to it having a 10mb modem internally to handle them whereas the V6 uses your broadband connection(200mb in my case)

Unfortunately had already tried checking my DNS settings and did not make a difference.

I phoned 150 and they tried changing my websafe settings and this did not work either so a ticket had been raised with their second line support but that was over 24 hours ago and Netflix is still not working

Hi, my main reason for wanting to upgrade from TiVo to V6 is to have usable HD Netflix, currently, I have to be satisfied with SD Netflix from a Firestick since the TiVo is unusable.

So, can users endorse the V6 for fast, responsive, quality HD Netflix streaming or not?

Hi,

I tried altering my superhub to wifi mode from modem only and connected this directly to my V6 box. This enable me to log into Netflix for the first time.  I then put my superhub back into modem mode and connected it back through my own router and then to V6 - this too enabled me to use Netflix

I thought this was the problem solved but now most programmes stop after a few seconds ('cannot play this title at the moment' error message) and also none of the series are coming up as 4k?

Can someone please advise?

Hi bobblejones, 

 

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are getting this error message. 

 

This error is a known fault for the V6 box and we are looking at ways to get this resolved. In the meantime the only work around is to reboot the box and try again. 

 

I understand this isn't the best and it's also not a permanent solution. 

 

As soon as we have any further information on this, we'll let you know.

Kath,

Have tried restarting my V6 box but Netflix will still not work - still doesnt tecognise thst i have a 4k TV and only plays videos for a few seconds before erroring

Not good!

Thanks for coming back to me on this. 

 

Just to clarify then, are you saying that there’s no 4K content available to select in Netflix or that Netflix in general isn't even loading?
