V6 boxes as hubs

Hi, does anyone know if the new V6 boxes work as a hub in the rooms they are in like the Sky Q boxes do? I have areas of the house where there is no wi-fi signal and looking to get the V6 (or Sky Q) installed. I'd like to keep my Virgin 200Mbps but would like it to be useable all over the house.

Ta.

Re: V6 boxes as hubs

The problem with the Sky Q miniboxes were that often the Wi-Fi would drop out, necessitating in the minbox having to be restarted.  Often my Nest protect would drop offline as it was picking up the Wi-Fi from the Sky Q minibox which had frozen.

The Tivo V6 boxes don't act as a Wi-Fi mesh from what I understand - however, Virgin do sell Netgear powerline Wi-Fi extenders that would do the same thing.

Re: V6 boxes as hubs

I have a mix of powerline adaptors and wifi extenders that do the job.. it's a large house so the wifi doesn't get everywhere without them
