V6 box - missing channels and 7400 error

Hi,

 

We just recently had Virgin installed and the broadband is working fine, however the TV is displaying error message 7400 which floats around the screen constantly, and our HD channels are also 'blacked out' selecting them asks us to subscribe.

Tried restarting the box and reconnecting it etc and nothing seems to be working

This generally means that the box has either never been activated or has become de-activated from the cable network?

Was the box a self-install and, if so, did you phone to have the box activated?

If the box has previously worked correctly, you will need to phone in and get it re-activated.

Same thing is happening to me engineer are coming out on the 4th march !!! It's ridiculous the amount I pay every month

The box and broadband were installed on Thursday and the error message has been there since set up, which was done by a Virgin engineer, when installing it seems Virgin were having issues with the V6 boxes but I was told all was connected and installed fine, the message would go within a day or so, but hasn't been the case.
