V6 Coax Input type

Hi, I am upgrading to the V6 box from the standard TiVo.

The TiVo has a standard (Type?) screw in coax input, but looking at the rear panel of the V6, it appears to have  push type (IEC?)

Does anyone know if this is actually the case? Do Virgin supply an adapter with the V6?

Thanks,

Rob..

Re: V6 Coax Input type

The VM 'adaptor' is actually a short piece of coax with a female F plug on one end and TV type male coax on the other. Mine was supplied white which now really clashes with a black V6 and black TV! Why, oh why, they could not use a normal all metal type of adaptor I do not know.

Re: V6 Coax Input type

The coax Virgin Media install these days and include in the self install packs is white, which is why the adapter is white.

Re: V6 Coax Input type

Just a quick thought. Self Install Packs - is this for self install of the service or the box? I'm only getting the V6, as I already have a TiVo. Does the adapter come in the V6 box?

Re: V6 Coax Input type

Where V6 would be offered by self install, then it'll come with everything needed to install it. So the self install pack would also come with the adapter.

However whichever way you're getting the V6 box installed, it'll come with everything needed!
