V6 Box position

I'm interested in the V6 box but have heard that it has to be sited near to the router. My router is upstairs and re-siting it would be a big problem. Is this an issue?

Re: V6 Box position

No, ALL Virgin Media set top boxes require a co-ax connection to the cable network.

Re: V6 Box position

No, V6 can also be connected by powerline adapters or wifi, if this is strong enough.

Re: V6 Box position

My V6 is in the lounge, the Superhub 2 upstairs, and both have been connected absolutely fine since installation a month ago via the powerline adaptors I used to use with the TiVo.

Just rememebr powerline recommend you plug direct into a wall socket not an extension cable.

Re: V6 Box position

So does this mean that the cable that feeds the current TIVO box is unnecessary for the V6 box?
