Upgrading to the V6 Box

I have read that to get the V6 to work efficiently it needs to be close to the "Modum". My TV is downstairs and my Modum and PC is Upstairs. Is there a problem with this set up? It is not possible to bring the PC downstairs, so is there a way round this and will the engineer who comes be able to overcome this ?  Thank you

Re: Upgrading to the V6 Box

There are two options for connecting a V6 to a Superhub which is located away from it:

1. Wifi;

2. Powerline adapters.

Re: Upgrading to the V6 Box

VM solution is to use Powerline adaptors to provide the required network connection between the V6 and the SH3 (modem). When you ordered the V6 did they ask about proximity of TV box to superhub?

Re: Upgrading to the V6 Box

Hi smymar,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. it's great having you involved in the Community Smiley Happy

When you order the V6 box, we ask where the router is and if it is quite far away we can relocate it for you on the same call out.

If moving the router isn't an option then as mentioned Ernie_C, you can connect via wireless or powerline adaptors.

If you have any further queries or questions, pop back and let us know.

Thanks,
