Twin v6 setup

Hi guys. In our soon to be purchased house we are having 200mb bb and two v6 boxes.

i plan on having the main v6 in the livingroom where the coax can be connected. The super hub will be next to it so an ethernet cable into that.

the second box will be in a bedroom with a ethernet cable to a switch in the home office. The superhub will be patched into that switch. Does this all sound ok? There isnt a coax connection to the second box or will there be? Its having an engineer installation.

thanks.

Re: Twin v6 setup

all Virgin boxes need a coaxial connection, the V6 needs a coaxial and an ethernet, the engineer will run all the necessary cabling

The V6 doesn't NEED an ethernet connection. The V6 NEEDS a connection to the hub be it ethernet, wifi or powerlines. Obviously you know this but just making it clear for others.

Re: Twin v6 setup

So a coax and wifi connection could be ok?

Possibly, it's not guaranteed as there are a lot of variables in a WiFi connection

Re: Twin v6 setup

The final stage of the installation is a network speed test performed directly on the box which should give an indication as to the reliability of the connection whether it be wifi, power line or direct ethernet.

The technician will deal with all of this though.
