This content cannot be displayed because your TV does not support HDCP 2.2

I have just had my new Virgin V6 box installed, but when going through my Marantz 7010 receiver it says

"This content cannot be displayed because your TV does not support HDCP 2.2" and I only get sound

If I connect the V6 box direct to the TV then it work fine. I have tried various combinations of rebooting with no success. Is there a special input or setting I need to use with my receiver

TV on, Amp on, select V6 input on amp, V6 on.

It would suggest that your amp is introducing an unacceptable level of delay into the HDCP handshaking process, and the V6 is withholding video output.

Thanks, I'll give that a try and see how it goes.

Re: This content cannot be displayed because your TV does not support HDCP 2.2

I would say your AV receiver does not support HDCP 2.2 i went through this with my Pioneer receiver even though it had 4K passthrough.

I bought the Marantz 1506 which has full HDCP 2.2 support.

Thought all you needed to get a 4K TV working is HDMI 2.0? Guess again. The next generation of content protection is called HDCP 2.2, and not only is it not backwards compatible, many new 4K devices don't even support it."

Hope this helps!

Looking at the receivers the Marantz 7010 only has passthrough but the Marantz SR7010 has HDCP 2.2!

This was the issue i had with my Pioneer as it would not display due to passthrough only.

Hope this helps.

The receiver is the SR7010 so it should be ok then, very strange.

You have the latest firmware for your amp?

What if you connect the optical sound output from the V6 to the amp and connect the HDMI direct to the TV?

That works fine, just a pain when it worked ok before
