The V6 charges and cost

I had agreed a V6 upgrade but when I checked the upgrade price to my present price there was an additional £10+. After reading the VM community website under the heading Game changing Virgin tv launch it states "Pricing for the V6 box is simple transparent and WILL NOT incur additional monthly subscription fees" NOT TRUE. It also states "Existing customers will not need to change package to benefit" NOT TRUE . I was willing to pay same package cost and the £65 installation/activation fee but after paying my present £80 to £91.60 I cancelled my order .Just before I typed this I read of someone getting it FREE. What the heck are existing customers to believe.I will be and told VM waiting for my contract to expire and then leave to its major competitor who are ringing me weekly to go back and I'm sure could get a matching deal.

Re: The V6 charges and cost

Everyone seems to be in the same situation.
The pricing is random and nothing like transparent, no extra monthly charge I'm told but it's an extra £11-£12 a month depending who you talk to.

Even if I get a price that I agree to, I have my doubts it will be honoured.

What is going on in VM!?

I wouldn't recommend anyone to complete upgrade offers on the website, I would phone retentions if you don't get any joy ring again and again until you are getting a good deal, don't be put off by ringing different operators.

Re: The V6 charges and cost

Don't know why anyone would be charged a monthly fee with the V6 i thought they only charged extra a month if you took a 2nd box.

Re: The V6 charges and cost

I'm already paying £120p/month got 2 Tivo boxes and if I get one of these V6 boxes why should I pay £65 installation charge, that would work out at about £150p/hr. Why isn't it like the Q box WiFi?

Re: The V6 charges and cost

What a joke and fiasco the V6 charging is turning into.

Add to this the number of forum comments that talk about problems with the new box.

The whole business sounds like more trouble than its worth.

Not convinced VM will ever get its act together with its present attitude.

Result....V6....... no thanks

Re: The V6 charges and cost

here's the low down

the 1st box is ether £99.95 or £49.95 depending on the pack you are on the 2nd box is always £49.95 unless you are on a VIP pack and then it's free

a 3rd box will be £99.95 on all packs except the VIP where it's £49.95
