Sound Drop Outs

I am still getting split second sound drop outs on live and recorded programmes both on Dolby Digital and Stereo via either the HDMI connection to the TV or the optical output to my home cinema amp.Is this a known issue with the V6.?This happens at irregular intervals on any channel ,normally around 3 to 4 times an hour.

Re: Sound Drop Outs

I get the same via HDMI to my Yamaha Reveiver. Becoming a real nuisance!

Re: Sound Drop Outs

Hi Chasteven,

I too have been having the same issue where I have sound drop outs, there seems no real pattern or on any particular channel.

I have spoken to VM and they have suggested it might be a signal strength issue, I recommend calling VM and booking an engineer to come check your levels.

My box apparently also has a corrupt hard drive and only 3 of the six tuners working so it might be worth having these looked at too.

Other symptoms my box is having is poor picture quality, no picture when watching YouTube and BBC iPlayer content and a slowing box (although still much faster than my old TiVo). I also had issues turning the damn thing on yesterday too.

Let me know if you are having any of these other issues.
