Sky Recording on V6?

Hi, just had a V6 box fitted today and the our TiVo box put upstairs to replace the old  V+.

Thought we would try and watch a TiVo recording on the new V6 box, but it seems anything from Sky and many other channels cannot be watched to to restrictions from those TV stations.   Am I missing something or is this correct.  Really  disappointed as in all the info about the new V6 I did not see anything about the restricted channels. Is this likely to change in the future as all the channnels we watch don't seem to be able to be streamed.

Cheers

Kath

Re: Sky Recording on V6?

I would try turning both boxes off at the same time, waiting 30 seconds, and then turning them back on again. This should prompt them to recognise each other properly.

Re: Sky Recording on V6?

There should no real channel restrictions when streaming recordings between boxes. I can't remember the last time I was unable to watch a recording from my other TiVo.

This is different that streaming or downloading from the V6 box to the TV Anywhere app, where there are currently some channels and shows that can't be streamed and / or downloaded.

Re: Sky Recording on V6?

As a test, I have today watched last night's episode of Conviction on Sky Living HD on the TV connected to my V6. The program is located on my TiVo.

This confirms that Sky channels can stream via MRS between V6 and TiVo.

Re: Sky Recording on V6?

Thank you both for your reply.

We are getting a BRoadcaster restriction message on which ever recording we try to watch, whether it is a Sky Channel or ITV 2 Fox etc.

Could you think of any reason why it is not working.

TIA for your help

Cheers

Re: Sky Recording on V6?

Thank you thank you Ben, that did the trick. Not sure why I did not think to do this myself.

Did not feel like sitting in my sons room to watch all the recordings....LOL

Cheers
