Pixelation

Hi we had our v6 box fitted a couple of weeks ago but when we play back recorded shows we get horrendous pixelation of the picture. We saw another customer had the same issue and had to have an engineer out. Can you help with this?

All of a sudden I have been getting bad pixelation/picture break up this afternoon on BBC1HD (Pointless), ITVHD (news at 6 and Emmerdale). Any ideas why this has just started happening. I have restarted my box and connected to VM

Hi Jimsutton,

 

Welcome to the community!

 

I have tried to check the signal levels to your V6 but unfortunately it's not giving me any information so I'd just like to check whether this is still happening?

 

Also please ensure all cables are secure at the back of the box and reboot by the mains to see whether this brings any improvement.

Hello Rose,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have had quite a lot of pixelation this week from Monday afternoon onwards. BBC1HD, ITV1HD, C4HD, Sky1HD and Alibi HD are the channels I have noticed it on. Also for the last two evenings my internet/wifi has been down for half hour periods (the red arrows symbol showing on V6). So far I have connected to Virgin Media and restarted my box via the Settings app several times.

I have, as you requested just unplugged the power from my box and rebooted so I will monitor the picture during the course of the day.

Hello Collette,

I am unfortunately still getting pixelation, for example today on Eurosport HD but also periodically on all channels, recordings and live tv. It isn't quite as prevalent this week as it was last week.

Thanks for your reply.

I have taken a closer look into this for you and when I check the box remotely there is an issue with the signal.  In order to get this fixed I'd like to arrange an engineer appointment with you. In order to do this I will pop over a private message, look for the envelope icon above.
