Netflix issues with Virgin V6 Box

Hi,

Can anyone help me with watching Netflix through my Virgin V6 box?

Whenever I try and watch a Netflix movie through the Virgin V6 box I get a message that this movie cannot be played at this time.

It's been going on for over a month and no one at Virgin is able to suggest a fix.

So tell them to send a competent engineer, with a spare box. You are paying for a service. Making it work should be their problem not yours.

Actually turn off then turn on , and sign out, sign back into the app  fixes many netflix problems but why should you have to be researching the answer for them?

I tried all that and had an engineer install a new box 2 hours ago with no success Smiley Sad

can you test your netflix account on some other device - phone, tablet, PC... to narrow down the problem. if

if netflix works on other devices but not the V6 then it's clearly a V6 issue

 I dont have v6 but most netflix apps have diagnostics built into the app - to check your network etc. and signing out of netflix, then power cycling and signing back in is always worth trying. netflix themselves do good  free phone support.

I was actually on a work call in my office and he left. He wasn't actually to fix that issue but another issue.

Funnily enough; I have another V6 box upstairs and Netflix works on that box. I also watch Netflix on my phone and tablet with no problems.

I don't get why it doesn't work with my downstairs box!

that is good, it proves i is not a network issue. can you uninstall + reinstall netflix on V6 or is it built in.

have you tried all of delete data, delete cache ...in the app

Swap the boxes over and see if the Netflix problem is with the box or the location

I just came back to suggest that, i see someone else already thought of it.

The v6 uses your hub for netflix, i think, so if the two v6 boxes are connected differently, or one is not set up properly....

Does the v6 netflix app have built in diagnostics, like the pc and android ones?

When you go into System Info what is the HDMI status? If it does not say 'HDCP 2.2 enabled' that may be your problem (it was with me). How old is your TV? Does it have HDMI 2.0 ports.?

I bought the TV 2.5 years ago - it's a 4K Samsung Curve TV.

How do I check that info?
