Livingroom V6 box not linking with bedroom one

Hi, I had my V6 boxes installed last week and I can't seem to be able to watch recordings from my living room box on my bedroom box when going to "My Shows". I can how ever watch recordings from the bedroom box in the living room.

In the bedroom I get the following message when I try to access the living room box: "There may be a problem with your home network or the network connection on your Tivo boxes, or the Tivo box may be unplugged. (C423)

I have reset both V6 boxes, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance.

Have you set both boxes to allow remote control in 'Devices'?

Go into help & srttings , network and reconnect. Restart your box when the process has finished.

Also, have you given the boxes a name (I.e. Livingroom)?

Re: Livingroom V6 box not linking with bedroom one

I do not have the reset connection option. I tried the top option, connect to Virgin media service and reset both boxes, and now neither box recognises each other.

The boxes are named Living Room and Bedroom. The Living Room box is on ethernet, the Bedroom on wifi.

I have uploaded some photo's below

Re: Livingroom V6 box not linking with bedroom one

Simplest and most effective method i can say is get a set of Powerline Plugs and plug them in next to the machines. They both need ethernet cables but run the signal through the powerlines in your house with great success.
If you are not using the ethernet connection in the back of the V6, then this could be the issue, but if you are, then grab yourself an ethernet switch from Ebay or Maplins and hook your cables into that behind the tv and the issues should be resolved.
I can give you a step by step if you get these.

Re: Livingroom V6 box not linking with bedroom one

I've used powerline adapters in my flat before and it made my mains ring high pitched. I have a 20m ethernet cable I can try though.

"Have you set both boxes to allow remote control in 'Devices'?"
I saw this setting but assumed it was for other devices like phone's and tablet's. I will switch them both on before trying ethernet.

Setting both boxes to allow remote control in 'Devices' seems to have done the trick.
