Homeplugs?

I'm about to have two V6 boxes installed on Feb 20th. If the engineer determines that my WiFi is not up to scratch will he install homeplugs and is that included in the cost of installation?

Re: Homeplugs?

You will have to supply the home plugs or buy them from virgin media (available from them but not sure if they posted to you or the engineer brings them).

Re: Homeplugs?

The technician will have them on his van.

Do you foresee a problem?

Re: Homeplugs?

I've just made an appointment to have my two TiVo's replaced with V6's for Thursday.

My question is that my TiVo boxes are both cute connected by home plugs to the router. The agent in the phone today mentioned that the router would need to be relocated to within 3 metres of the v6.

This wouldn't work with my network in the house, are homeplugs not adequate??

Re: Homeplugs?

That seems to be a standard question that the sales agents ask. I suspect very few customers have their Modem close to their TV. More likely to be close to the computer. If you search the forums you will see that wifi and powerline/homeplugs are the norm for many already installed.
