would we need to buy a new HDMI cable for the V6 so that's it capable of 4K or is the original HDMI cable be okay to output 4K?

Re: HDMI Cable

HDMI has nothing to do with the resolution. There are four types of HDMI cables and *no versions*:

High-speed with Ethernet
High-speed without Ethernet
Standard-speed with Ethernet
Standard-speed without Ethernet

All you need is a high-speed with Ethernet cable. So even if you bought a High-speed cable when all your components was 1080p and HDMI 1.4, it will probably work now with 4K HDR and HDMI 2.0a components. https://www.cnet.com/news/4k-hdmi-cables-are-nonsense/

Re: HDMI Cable

Don't be fooled into buying 4K HDMI there's no such thing only standard and high speed options with and without Ethernet If you have a 1080P TV with a HDMI cable chance is it will be a HS The ports on the TV and box is what matters and these will obviously be fine if they are 4K
