Ethernet connection

First of all I'll say this. If I'm talking complete **bleep** then forgive me!

has V6 yesterday. Engineer simply unplug TiVo and plug whit cable into back of V6. But I thought that there was supposed to be an ethernet cable to the hub?

Re: Ethernet connection

If there is no Ethernet cable connected, the V6 must be connected by wifi to your Superhub.

You can double-check in Network Connections.

Re: Ethernet connection

This is the Network Status for my powerline (Ethernet connection). What does yours say?

Re: Ethernet connection

Ok. So now I know I've had a bad say but where? I've tried home help settings network view network status and then I tried view network diagnostics.  Can't see wifi mentioned anywhere.

Re: Ethernet connection

I'm connected by powerlines just now so can't confirm but I would expect it to be in Network Status.

If I recall, you get a quality rating of the wifi connection and a percentage figure.

Re: Ethernet connection

Ok. I'm officially an idiot. It is an Ethernet wired connection 🙄  To be fair the engineer waffled on for ages about the wifi connection being ever so stable and not really needing a wired connection. Plus he didn't go anywhere near the router that I saw (but he must've!!)

apologies. Like I say it's been a very bad couple of days!
