Cancelled due to V6

To cut a long story short, after reading on here today people saying they have their new V6 box confirmed with dates of install, I decided tonight to call about first my non working v+ box and secondly to ask about the install of a new V6

3 departments later after being told different dates and reasons as to when I could (possibly) get one, and the fact that I definitely can't order on tonight I ended up in retentions who confirmed to me that I had been tied into a 12 month contract back in June when I shouldn't have.

We have been with NTL/VM for 23 years and this was the straw that broke the camels back for me - cancelled the service tonight with a months notice, cannot believe the way they treat loyal customers !

I trust you were advised of your penalties for cancelling within your minimum contract period?

They were wavered once I explained that I had categorically asked that I was not signed into a new contract in June and requested a copy/recording of that conversation.
