Can you use a V6 tv box with a Hub 3 in modem mode?

I want to use my hub3 in modem mode and use another router. But as soon as I do this my V6 box stops connecting to the internet. I can run a Ethernet cable from the V6 box to my router and the V6 box and internet is restored. There seems no option to connect wirelessly to my router from the V6 box, like it was when connected to the Hub 3. Is this ok to keep Hub 3 in modem mode and use a Ethernet cable to connect the V6 tv box to my router? thanks

Re: Can you use a V6 tv box with a Hub 3 in modem mode?

Your router has a different SSID and password than your Hub 3.0.
Remove your Ethernet cable, reset your V6 and you should be presented with a list of SSIDs.
Choose the one from your router, supply its password and you should get connected.

Yes you can connect like that via ethernet cable and that would give you more reliable connection then wifi.

Otherwise do what Ernie suggested as you'll now need to connect via the new routers wifi and not the Hubs which doesn't work in modem mode.
