Bug Report V6

Hi,

Had my V6 boxes installed this afternoon, but found a bug with one of them.

it wont boot up when connected to a HDMI Switch.

As soon as it is unplugged from the HDMI switch it boots up straight away... old TiVo box did not have this issue.

Re: Bug Report V6

Sounds like a HDMI Handshake problem, possibly something to do with the V6 trying to check if your TV can handle 4K (just a guess)?  Is there a setup in the V6 that sets the video output resolution to manual instead of auto?

Re: Bug Report V6

Let us know how you get on with this as it is something I am planning on doing too. Looks like you can change the output settings manually.

Re: Bug Report V6

The HDMI port has HDCP 2.2 copy protection, that may be something to do with it

HDCP 2.2 also includes a “locality check:” If the source signal is not received by the sink within 20ms, the source kills the connection. ;
