Can anyone explain to me why virgin refused to upgrade my TiVo to the new V6 because I only have 150mb broadband? According to them I need 200mb for it to work. As an IT network consultant I can't see technically why this would matter unless the V6 is abnormally bandwidth intensive
The new bundles that come with a v6 are 100meg or 200meg,your legacy broadband speed cant be applied to the new v6 bundles
Is that actually true? Anyway he wasn't talking about bundles, just upgrading TiVo to the V6 which shouldn't be a problem as the OP has at least 100Mb. Surely VM wouldn't refuse a sale over something so stupid?

The minimum speed that you can have the V6 with is 100Mb. This is because the V6 doesn't have an internal modem so VM want to make sure you have a high enough speed for 4k streaming along with other users still being able to use the Internet.
Are you on 150Mb or 152Mb which is waiting for the free speed upgrade to 200Mb.
A speed of 15-25 Mbps should be sufficient for 4K though
