Blurred TV reception

Just over a week I had the Tivo 6 box and broadband installed. the engineer arrived and installed it all only to tell me the broadband was down and to plug the Ethernet cable in when the front light was solid.

About 30 minutes later it was and then I had to setup the TV myself. the picture quality is poor on SD, almost like a blur, really hard to read some text, HD channels are better but nothing like the quality I have with sky (still have sky until the 6th march) so I can do a side by side.

my broadband is rubbish too, only getting 90mbps on a 200mbps deal. Seems I have a Friday installation.

email Virgin twice with no response, any suggestions, I am still in my 14 day cancellation period which at the moment I think I will take up

Problem solved, engineer on site and found signal was weak

Yes, I have a gigabit card installed, latest drivers. to add I will only get this speed on the PC, Laptop and phone

Regarding the tv, have you played with the video settings on the tivo, my picture is fine and crisp.

Regarding Internet, Just to confirm, was your speed tested via a wired connection and how did you do the speed test.

It might be worth posting your router stats (192.168.0.1 don't log on, click on Check router status)

got an engineer coming out today, if I change the video settings it makes no different still a fuzzy blurry look. Sky box plugged back in and its lovely and crisp.

Broadband is tested via my laptop(wired), PC(wired), Tablet(wifi) and phone (wifi), all seem to give the same settings.

Also, check my observations - here - you might find them useful re a soft picture - especially if you're upscaling from SD to UHD
