Be Very Careful Changing Installation Dates Online

Just looked on the website it had 3 earlier installation dates but rang retentions up and none of these dates are available.

The v6 needs a longer apointment . So some of the apointments showing may not allow enough time to install. So dont just assume that because a apointment is available you can change your v6 install because it won't work like that

This happened to be . I originally ordered online and selected December 17 as my installation date . I phoned this evening to confirm the date . Only to get told they can't come until Jan 7th

No wonder customers are pulling there hair out, it already knows that i have a V6 installation on the 10th of Feb why is it giving false information on the website, that's how it should work.

Thanks for your post and apologies for the frustration about the appointments showing available online.

Strangeland16 is correct; some installations will take less time--not all the available appointments are for the V6 installation--so you will see all the available time slots. The website isn't giving false information, but I can understand how confusing this is. If you see an earlier time-slot and it won't allow you to book the appointment, it will be because there aren’t enough points on that date for the type of appointment you require.

Hi gordy66, 

 

You will be able to reschedule your appointment if need be however it will only allow you to do this if there is enough points available. 

 

Just to give you an example, say a standard TiVo® install is 10 points and the new V6 install is 20 points. If on an available appointment time there is 15 points and you're looking to have the V6 install, an error will occur. 

 

As well as this, both systems work on real time so by the time you speak to retention's the appointment may well be taken by someone else anyway. 

 

We understand it's frustrating having to wait so long but as mentioned previously, me and Terri will be able to check if there is an earlier appointment available for you every so often. If there is one, we'd have to book it there and then though as otherwise it will be gone. 

 

The problem with us doing this is that if the earlier time slot is no good, there's no guarantee your original slot will be available.

In a normal world  that the majority of us live in, VM should have created a second booking system for the V6 install appointments. All this bad feeling regarding such a farce of a launch could have been well avoided if the implementation department had done their jobs correctly.
