4k /UHD viewing

I have recently upgraded my tv/sound system and xbox to 4K. I have also recently got the v6 box. My issue is that the v6 box does not give me true 4k and HDR when watching Netflix and youtube. If I watch Netflix through xbox the settings on my tv change and the screen says HDR and the picture is awesome.I do not get this through v6 box.

Is there a problem with my box or is there an upgrade due which will change this.

There will be a firmware update for HDR but no date has been given.

Re: 4k /UHD viewing

Slightly off topic, but I have always noticed that the youtube stream via the TiVo is worse than when viewed through the Xbox app.

Hopefully Virgin have an upgrade patch planned, but they are not quick in updating stuff!

Re: 4k /UHD viewing

I personally use the Netflix / Amazon apps that are supplied with the my Samsung TV. 4K with HDR looks great.

Strangely strange but oddly normal.

Re: 4k /UHD viewing

One thing to try, go into the settings and look at the video settings. I think there's a 2160p (4K) passthrough setting. Try using this and see if things change.
