4K not working

Does anyone have any ideas why I don't get a picture when playing 4k content via my V6.

I tried via TV and it worked, but not via V6 just sound and no picture.

Was there any particular 4K content that you were trying to watch on your V6 box?

I wasn't aware Virgin had any 4k channels on the channel line up yet, or did i miss them ?

There are no channels but there is plenty of content

Thanks for getting back Rose.

Unfortunately the problem isn't just 4k content it is in fact every video I try to play on YouTube or the BBC iPlayer.

But my problems don't stop there, my V6 box has poor picture quality compared to the old TiVo, I'm having sound drop outs, my box has slowed right down and becoming unresponsive and yesterday I couldn't turn it on at all.

I have been in touch with VM and have an engineer booked for Tuesday.

Apparently according to the person i spoke to my hard drive has been corrupt some how and only 3 of my 6 tuners are working.

Hopefully this will get sorted on Tuesday and I can start enjoying my V6, because quite frankly since it has been installed it has caused nothing but trouble.

What makes it worth I payed £65 for this misery.

Hi Rose_B

Just to update you my V6 was changed yesterday as I've had a few other niggles with the previous box, and touch wood the new box is working absolutely fine. 


However one thing that did come to light yesterday was that my original V6 wasn't installed correctly when first put in and according to the engineer it was running old TiVo software. He felt most of my issues I had were a result of this, he did start to update the box but he estimated it could take as long as 90mins so just swapped boxes.


Perhaps this black screen and other issues could be a result of poorly installed V6 boxes?
