landline phone fault

Third time same fault over last 3 weekends -  given Thurs 11 Aug as first available engineer. Not good enough! Can only connect with India call centre who have no flexibility. How do I connect with technical dept in UK and get something resembling service? Now seriously reconsidering my commitment to Virgin. Landline/Broadband/TV/ 2mobiles
