home phone problem

Hi

I have finally got myself a home phone and have plugged it in to the only phone socket in the house (which says British Telecom on it). I can get a dial tone but when I try to dial out it just says that the number I have rung is not recognised, also I have rung the number given for my home phone from my mobile, I can hear it ringing from my mobile but the actual home phone does not ring?

Any help and advice appreciated

Mel

Re: home phone problem

Hello melgrantham,

Thanks for posting in the community.

I have checked your line and it's showing active so what I would like to do is to arrange for a technician to take a look at this for you.

If you click on the purple envelope at the top right of the screen you will see another message from me with appointment times.

Speak to you soon.
