charge for missed call on landline

On occasions I "lose" my VM mobile somewhere in my home, I have got into the habit of using my landline to locate the mobile (without answering), last time I was charged £0.28 for what was a "missed" call.

On calling the 150 helpline I was informed that even though you do not answer the mobile call there is a "connection" charge, is this correct ?

Re: charge for missed call on landline

Hi rabjohn,

Welcome to the Community Forum and thanks for your post.

You have been advised correctly as your landline connects to the mobile network, so there is a connection charge for this.

Please have a look at Karen_A's answer on a similar post: Charges if call unanswered.

Kind regards,
