all other service providers inc landline

were thinking off moving house just for me and the cost is huge to keep my services like virgin but other providers like talk talk bt sky freeview do the rest run on bt line not including freeview a virgin chap on 150 told us talk talk run on bt is there any more landlines except bt sky might be best option we want 3 services tv bb phone virgin said talk talk are rubbish dont care for bt much

All providers other than Virgin require a connection via a bog standard copper telephone line to the local BT exchange. Some providers (PlusNet is part owned by BT) use BT Openreach to install & maintain connections. Others use third party contractors, such as Kellys to install & maintain lines. TV options running on these services (apart from Sky) require a Freeview aerial, & the amount of channels you get will depend on what transmitters you can receive from at your location. The service is then supplemented by IPTV channels, but as these run over your broadband connection, the can gobble up a huge chunck of your bandwidth & slow your connection, particularly if you are not using fibre. The channel selection (with the exception of Sky) is also well down on VM's offering.
