accidentally cut through home phome line.

Please could someone help me I have accidently cut through my home phone line while gardening, I have rang Virgin media and through the automated system booked a engineer to come tomorrow, the problem is I would like to speak to someone at VM to explain the problem as do not want to waste the engineers time if they are only coming to check service. Can anyone tell me how to speak to an operator as I only seem to get through to automated systym when I call 150, thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
