What's happening...

Noticed phone line was dead and repported this to Virgin on 22.03

Man came approx. 6.30pm Monday (27.03) and quickly discovered fault was outside house. He wandered back and forth for half hour of so and then told us we needed new cable to the house and said that somebody would come tomorrow (28.03) to connect a new cable. I told him nobody would be in during the day but he said it was unecessary as the work involved didn't involve gaining access to the house. He then asked what time somebody would be in and I responded 4.30ish and he said he would come back after that time and see if everything was working correctly. He said he would ring me beforrehand.

Nobody has been seen since and I am still without a phone line, which I am paying for!

Not happy!
