I've been looking into this and have had some updated information regarding the unlocking of phones on our network. I've been in touch with the mobile team directly and they have informed me that this is free of charge currently, any different information is due to be changed to match this. Anyone that is unsure can certainly call in and this will be confirmed free of charge, which is nice

This was also the case when my mother and I requested to unlock her phone old phone. In fact, to have been given the incorrect information and charged for something we shouldn't have been charged for has made me slightly annoyed

The current process isn't to lock new phones from the point they are placed on the network, so this should become a thing of the past. If you have been charged for unlocking a phone on our network then this was in error. Please give our team a call on 789/ 0345 6000 789 and we can arrange the refund of the amount for you and your mother.
