Unable to Receive or Make calls on home phone

Over 2 weeks ago I reported a fault on my home phone. I was unable make calls but I could receive 1 ring then it stopped & the call ended. 

When the person I spoke to tested the line etc. he could find no faults & after a couple of attempts at calling me the line rectified itself.   But he said he would still report it and ask for an engineer to check it out as it was probably an exterior fault. I went to stay with family on the 9th January 2017 and it was working fine  I returned last night 20th January and the phone is completely dead again. No outgoing or incoming

Can someone please help? I have been hanging on the end of my mobile phone for over 20 minutes ( twice) and still no response. I am 77 years old & disabled and need a working phone at all times. I hope someone can help please.

Really sorry to hear about the issues experienced with your service.

 

I've had a look at the line state and this is showing as non contactable at present.

 

I'd like to arrange for an engineer to come out and look into this.

Excellent service Nat. Line repaired today. Thank you for your help.   Should I be entitled to some sort of discount for loss of service? Not sure how this works but was advised by my son to ask you.

My land line is not receiving a dial tone and cannot make or take calls
