Telephone not working

Virgin landline installed yesterday after many years of trouble free service from BT.  Since then I have no incoming calls and the earliest an engineer can call again is Wednesday, that's 5 days without a working phone.  I am not impressed with this level of response and would expect an engineer to rectify the fault much sooner. 1 out 10 for service.

something like this happened to me 5 1/2 years ago and to date still dont have a phone line
