Firstly I'd like to welcome you to the forums and say that I'm really sorry to hear that your phone line is not working at the moment, and I'd really like to help you out.
I've done some testing on the line, there was an outage yesterday but that has since cleared. I can no longer see any reason why your line shouldn't be working.
Should you still be experiencing an issue, please make sure that the phone is plugged into the Virgin Media socket, as if it hasn't worked since the line changed over this may well be the case.
