Phone line disconnected

Hi, yesterday I had a strange call from one of Virgins engineers. He told me quite abruptly that our fault had now been fixed. What puzzles me is that we don't have any faults and we have never booked an engineer. I was a bit suspicious of him as I felt like he was about to explode down the phone at me and I wasn't sure he was even a legitimate engineer. Anyway, I just said ok and put the phone down, he then tried to ring back twice but I did not pick it up and now he has disconnected us (Probably out of spite). Now Virgin are sending out an engineer to check our phone line at home but it was working fine before he rang, surely someone could just reconnect us from the box!!

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

 

I've had a look at the line state from this end and I'm unable to retrieve any fault details, however, I can see the engineer appointment booked for you.
