I've recently moved from Sky to Virgin, and all is ok except for my phone. There is no dial tone at all, you can phone in, but it does not ring in the house and you cant ring out??? This is the 2nd day of this now?

Could you make sure that your handset is connected to a Virgin Media socket if possible?
