had the 'phone installed yesterday but it has no dialling tone so doesn't work.

Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with your landline.
I've run diagnostics on your line and everything is looking clear on the network. Are you able to try another handset in the socket? This is just to make sure the handset isn't causing the fault.
