No dial tone - no phone for at least 6 days

We have no phone service today 24th February.

I have phoned customer service using my mobile and booked an engineer visit.

The earliest they can come is 2nd March.

This means we will be without a phone for at least 6 days.

On the meantime, anyone calling us will think we are not in, as they will hear a ringing tone and no reply.

If they leave a message, it will be a long time before we know about it.

Is there a way to tell callers our land line is not working and to try calling our mobile number?

Re: No dial tone - no phone for at least 6 days

Wow, credit when credit's due.

Had a text from VM to say they had cancelled my engineer visit because they had found a fault in the area and were looking into it.  Panic set in briefly, as I was thinking that would just be a delay for a new appointment later.

Checked the phone and it is working again. Hooray and well done.
