Line error code

In early October purchased BT 8600 Quad has performed well up until today.

I get the above message on the phone.

Nobody can phone in or out. contacted virgin 150 they did all the checks and say there is no problem with the line.

read comments on this site - got a completely different phone - plugged it straight into the phone terminal , therefore no other wire/extensions or other hinderances - no line noises whatsoever there is no live phone feed into my dwelling .

What do I do now ??

Not a nice place to be 3 days before Christmas .
