My BT8500 phone has suddenly stopped working and is saying there is a Line Cord Error, Please Check. I cannot ring out on it and people ringing in just hear it ringing. I have plugged it in at my next door neighbour's and it works fine so there must be a problem with the line.

Alternatively you can do an online status check via our Service Status Page, just enter your Landline number > Select 'Continue' > Next to the phone service click on 'Sign in and test your service' > Log in using your details > Click on 'Run Test'.
If the test picks up a fault then it will take you through arranging for an engineer with you.
